The KGB, the Computer, and Me—An hour-long documentary about Clifford Stoll’s quest to stop a German hacker who was selling “military secrets” to the KGB.
The acting is bad, but the actors are the actual people who were involved in the caper, including the eccentric Stoll himself. If nothing else, just watch the short preview at the beginning of the video.
Although he is never mentioned in this movie, one of the hacker’s associated Cold War spies for the KGB, a man known as Pengo, is just chilling on Twitter these days, talking about Devo and LISP programming, and I just think that’s weird. (via GBPPR2)
