Rules: Once you’ve been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 16 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 16 people to be tagged. If I tagged you, it’s because I want to know more about you.

1. One of my ex-girlfriends got really jealous whenever I watched Moulin Rouge because she couldn’t take the pressure of me thinking Nicole Kidman was more beautiful than her. Whether that’s true or not (and it is) is beside the point, because I was actually ogling Ewan McGreggor all along.
2. I love the country during the day—blue sky, green grass—and the city at night (the lights!).
3. I hate the feeling of cotton balls in my fingers, or the sound and feeling of balloons in my hair, or the sound of snow crunching under tires (conversely, I love the sound of snow crunching under my feet).
4. My favorite bar in Lincoln is Marz, because it makes me feel like I’m someplace I’m not.
5. I tried to get several piercings, but they all rejected or failed. I really want snakebites, but I’m probably too old for that now.
6. I like building things with hand tools.
7. I have a cat who is going blind in one eye, and therefore has a really bad sense of balance. In addition, she has a bad sense of judgement, an extremely bad disposition, and doesn’t make any sound when she meows. She also has a bizarre Achilles heel that allows me to handle her without incident.
8. Even though I work for the Arbor Day Foundation, my non-profit of choice is Oceana. Also, I don’t live anywhere near an ocean.
9. I worked as a maid for a hotel once. It was mostly fine until the week before I left in which a horrid woman, among many other moral infractions, stole a bunch of towels, piled them in the shower, sat on them, and peed all over them.
10. I’ve gone back and deleted a lot of facts from this list, including this one.
11. Brian Wood is my favorite writer.
12. I like cooking. It’s especially something I like to do with friends. It’s like an adventure in your home. (I also like heating up frozen foods, cuz it’s easy.)
13. The “Rhapsody in Blue” segment of Fantasia/2000 always makes me cry.
14. I’ll admit to a slight ego trip when someone from my past friends me on Facebook and I’ve never had a particular desire to know anything about what they’re up to lately.
15. Heterosexual mancrushes on the following celebrities: the aforementioned McGreggor, Jude Law, Jason Statham, Clive Owen sort of, and a slightly ironic one  for David Bowie, mostly because of Labyrinth (but also his music kicked ass).
16. When I was a kid, I pronounced Excalibur like egg-ZAY-byoo-ler, and that is why my dog’s name looks like the sword, but is actually spelled Ecxabulir (with all the same letters, just rearranged). Mostly, though, she’s called Xabe.
